Which of the IMDB Top 250 Movies are Available on Netflix Streaming?

Hello all,
It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything. I have a few posts in mind for the future (and I also intend to repost a few links that have gone down), so please bear with me.
---
One of my on-going goals is to watch all films on the IMDB Top 250, a list of the top-rated films based on ratings from IMDB users. The Top 250 is calculated using a weighted average of user scores.
So far, I have seen about 58% of the films, so I still have quite a way to go. I’m 23, and I rarely watched movies growing up, so I’ve been kind of playing catch-up in the last few years. There are many iconic films (Forrest Gump, Rocky) that I have yet so see, but I intend to at some point.
---
Anyway, for my own benefit and for that of anyone else who’s interested, I decided to make a list of films available for Instant Streaming with Netflix (a U.S. subscription streaming service). As anyone who has a Netflix subscription will know, the selection is often hit or miss, and can seem quite random at times. It also changes quite frequently.
For example, I distinctly remember having watched Hitchcock’s Dial M For Murder on Watch Instantly about a year ago, and I remember Coppola’s Apocalypse Now also being available (in both versions). Neither is now available.
---
Alfred Hitchcock appears in the Top 250 nine times (the most of any director), followed by Stanley Kubrick with eight titles. However, only one Hitchcock film is available to watch instantly (The Lady Vanishes, which isn’t in the 250), and no Kubrick films are available.
---
Without further ado, here’s the list of the films available for streaming on Netflix. In total, about 16% (40 films) of the Top 250 are available to Watch Instantly as of May 22, 2013. I went through one-by-one, so hopefully, I did not miss any.
Titles in red indicate films I haven't seen, while those in pink indicate films I have seen
The first number indicates ranking on the Top 250, while the second indicates ranking out of those available on Netflix. In parentheses after the title is the director, release year, and (weighted) average user score.
---
UPDATE June 1st, 2013: Les Intouchables (#62) has been added to Netflix Instant, bringing the total to 41 films.
---
UPDATE June 25th, 2013: Both versions of Apocalypse Now have been added to Netflix Instant.

A few notes:
- Metropolis is available in the “Restored” Version of 148 minutes (a 124 minute version is also available as a DVD).
- Netflix Instant doesn’t have the 1983 version of Scarface, which is ranked at #126 with a score of 8.2, but it does have the 1932 Scarface (7.8, but I actually prefer the ’32 version).
- Star Trek Into Darkness is ranked in the Top 250 (at #157), which confuses me, as it was just released in theatres. I had thought that there’s usually a wait period after release before a film can register in the Top 250. I guess not.
- Tim Burton's Big Fish (2003), a film I rather like that just recently fell out of the Top 250, is available on streaming.

R.I.P. Patti Page

Hi all,
Just a quick word to mention that Patti Page passed away on New Year's Day (1/1/2013) at the age of 85. I hadn't heard about it anywhere in the news, and only learned about it today after just happening to check her Wikipedia page.
She had a stunning voice, and four of her singles (including the two featured below) went to #1 on the Billboard Pop Charts between 1950 and 1953. She was the best-selling female artist of the 1950s, and her songs appealed to both pop and country listeners.
Her signature song, the Platinum-selling "Tennessee Waltz," can be found on the "Country Ladies Sampler."

Digression #7: Happy New Year 2013!!!!!!!!

Hello all,
In terms of this blog, 2012 has certainly been the best year, but it's been uneven.
If I'm not mistaken, about half of the albums/samplers that I've posted have been marked as copyrighted/non-distributable by mediafire (some more than once).
Realistically, I am unlikely to re-up any older albums, as some of the albums I re-uploaded were deleted by mediafire within days of my posting them.
With that said, I am unsure about the future of this blog. I enjoy assembling samplers, so I may post a few here and there, but with so many being taken down, I'm not sure how motivated I will be to consistently post new things. I do not wish to make any promises, as my track record with keeping them is not very good.
---
Anyway, enough with my rant...
I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year and thank you all for visiting this past year.

Ladies of the 80s Sampler

Hello all,
Because most of my recent posts have been re-uploads or updates of samplers previously posted, I'd like to post a new Sampler for today (one that I've been promising for a while now).
---
Without further ado, here is my "Ladies of the 80s" Sampler, a collection of 80s pop and rock songs by female artists. I previously posted a companion single, Jennifer Rush's 1984 hit "Power of Love," which you can get here.
---
Because I was not born until 1990, I evidently didn't live through the 80s (and the 80s are not exactly my favourite music decade), so I am hoping my choices are reasonable. In some cases, the songs chosen are not the most obvious ones.
For example, I included Cyndi Lauper's "She Bop" rather than "Girls Just Want To Have Fun." I also included Joan Jett's "Crimson & Clover" because her mega-hit "I Love Rock 'N' Roll" was previously featured in the Flashdance Expanded Soundtrack.
In the case of artists who had a shit-ton of hit singles (notably Madonna and Whitney Houston), I really wasn't sure what to choose but ultimately went with rather obvious picks.
---
With the exception of the Joan Jett track, all songs come from my CD collection.

Luther Vandross Collection (NEW LINK)

(Originally posted 17 July 2012)
---
I put this together for a friend, and thought I might as well post it here so anyone else who was interested could have it as well. Here is a collection of songs performed by Luther Vandross, either as a solo performer, in a duet, or in a group. I'm not going to give any extra background info, as the music speaks for itself. When Mr. Vandross passed away in 2005, we lost a very talented performer and interpretor, the voice of his generation.

As a follow-up to a blog post from two years ago, I have assembled a collection of forty ABBA-esque songs. Almost all of the songs are from my personal CD collection, with a few coming from various internet blogs. I haven't anything else to add about it; the content speaks for itself. See my earlier post for a brief overview of some of the artists presented here.

---
So, without further ado, here is the track listing of this two-disc compilation...
Disc 1 can be downloaded here.
DISC 2 BLOCKED PERMANENTLY. :(
The two discs can be downloaded and unpacked independently of each other.
